my dream is to someday be able to write an essay about porky minch for school credit

(long-ass headcanon anon) I suppose it does undermine it quite a bit, I just felt it followed what porky said, in a way, about how human race will always keep destroying itself one way or another and how it will never really learn from its mistakes. I am glad you took the time to read it, though!

mm-hm! but that’s just porky, what does he know? he’s a cruel, negative, self-centered child who’s convinced himself that humanity is naturally self-destructive to justify his own horrific actions. if we listen to people like porky, what hope do we have? as mother 3 itself demonstrates, not a whole lot.

AND ON THE OTHER HAND

while i understand your need to make the game even sadder than it already is, i think this would kind of undermine the point of the game and it’s backstory. the human race fell into ruin for a second time because the people of tazmily chose to forget their mistakes rather than learn from them, and if everyone is memory-wiped again, even leaving lucas and friends behind, then nothing will have been accomplished. the world is just waiting to be corrupted again. and that would kind of suck.

i guess i meant it as a reminder of what not to do? part of the whole problem with tazmily was that everyone was super naive since they wiped their memories of the past and didnt know not to trust fassad and the pigmasks, so the idea would be to remind the people of the past and how to learn from it and stop that kind of bad thing from happening again

yeah, but the thing is the absolutely safe capsule isnt a war memorial. theres a person in there, even if he is the worst person ever. they could just build a statue or something.

headcanon: lucas and friends and everyone build up a new town after he fixes the world and in the center of town is the absolutely safe capsule and the whole world goes on happily while porky is sealed away from it all forever. (the townspeople cover the window.)

why would they place the absolutely safe capsule in the center of town?? it would only encourage people to taunt porky or just serve as a constant reminder of all the horrible things that he did, and that seems really needlessly cruel. i hate to outright disagree with you but i dont think lucas would do that, or even allow it to happen.
